The Second Church in Newton is a historic congregation founded in 1871 that welcomes all who desire to walk in the ways of Jesus, balancing tradition and innovation while maintaining its prophetic heritage. The church is proud to be one of the first in its denomination to adopt an Open and Affirming covenant in 1992, fully welcoming LGBTQ+ persons as members and leaders.
