Mennonite
Mennonites are an Anabaptist denomination founded in 16th-century Switzerland and the Netherlands, named after the Dutch reformer Menno Simons. They are known for commitments to nonviolence, community, simplicity, and service. Mennonites practice believer's baptism, reject military service as conscientious objectors, and emphasize reconciliation and justice. Mennonite Church USA represents the largest US body and has become more progressive on social issues.
